Faded NRM singer Bosmic nabbed in theft, beaten by mob

KAMPALA — Faded NRM musician Bosmic Otim was last night thumped to pulp after being nabbed red handed in theft according to those privy to the story.

Otim who formely belonged to the People Power movement and sold off to the ruling NRM party in exchange for a brand new Toyota Hilux vehicle is said to be grappling with financial challenges having been dumped by his bidder Museveni. With no known sourcw of income and a faded musical career on his shoulders, Otim’s future remains hanging in thin air.

The once iconic music star from Northern Uganda has been relegated to a routine beggar who keeps pleading with NRM officials for favours. With the election dust settling, no NRM politician sees value in him and Tony Olenge (former NUP coordinator) anymore and now the duo have resorted to criminality for survival.

At the time of his battering, Otim was returning from Pader district where he had gone to attend the vigil of fallen Deputy Inspector General of Police Maj. Gen Paul Lokech who passed on recently.

Otim’s trouble is said to have emanated from his failure to identify himself after being grilled by one of the chefs who found him red handed stealing offals. A crowd mobbed on him and thumped him to pulp. “He went to Museveni and got money last year. Why is he stealing our food,” one of the members of the mob shouted. “Let’s teach him a lesson that theft is not the solution,” added another.

Currently Otim is being managed at Lacor hospital in Gulu. He sustained manageable injuries on the lower lips and his right limb. No immediate comment had been retrieved from Otim by the time of filing this report.
