“Your worship, I don’t know the whereabouts of Tumwine because, I lost contact with him while I was on my sick bed, ever since then I have never seen him again.” Prossy informed court with tears flowing on her cheeks.
The Magistrate asked her to pay a cash of 20 million Shillings which she signed on the bond papers, failure of which she will subjected to an imprisonment sentence
Jonathan Muwaganya, the state prosecutor in the matter, asked Court to commit her to civil prison Incase she fails to pay the said amount or to produce his son to face charges against him.
The trial Magistrate Remanded Prossy to Luzira Prison until the 5th of September 2025, when she will be returning to court.
Tumwine is among the group of people who arrested in 2023 for trespassing at Rubaga Miracle Centre Cathedral with an alleged intent to annoy Pastor Robert Kayanja.
During the trial, Tumwine exercised his constitutional right and applied for bail, he presented sureties including his biological mother who were bonded 20 million shillings each.
But as the trial went on, Tumwine disappeared which prompted court to start hunting down all his sureties for having failed to fulfill their responsibilities of producing him before court wherever there is a need to do so.
