Kampala-President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has appointed Justice Moses Kazibwe Kawumi as the new Deputy Chief Justice and her Worship, Agnes Alum as the new Chief Registrar for the Judiciary of Uganda.
This has been revealed by Presidential Press Unit (PPU) in a statement dated Thursday 14th May 2026.
Ever since the elevation of Dr. Flavian Zeija from Deputy Chief Justice to Chief Justice last year, this position has been vacant.
Justice Kazibwe is a Court of Appeal Justice which he joined in 2024.
Before being appointed to Court of Appeal, Kazibwe was the head of Mugende High Court Circuit.
He became High Court Judge in May 2016.
