Wakiso– The Electoral Commission has denominated National Unity Platform’s (NUP) Mathias Walukagga from the race of Busiro East Member of Parliament.

The Chairperson Electoral Commission added that Walukagga lacked the requisite minimum
formal qualifications for the elective office of Member of Parliament as stipulated under Section 4 (1) (c) of the Parliamentary Elections Act, Cap. 177.
This has left Hon. Medard Ssegona independent and Hajji Abdu Kiyimba (NRM) as the top contestant in the race.
Mathias Walukagga has not yet commented on the matter.
