Mukono– The State House Anti Corruption Unit working with Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of Uganda Police and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) have arraigned before Mukono Chief Magistrates Court Court two individuals faced with several charges relating to Land Grabbing.

The two individuals are Kayongo Boniface and Kiseka Hamuza faces on charges of Malicious damage to property, Destroying Growing Plants, Forcible Entry, and Forcible Detainer.
It is alleged that, between October and November 2025, in Luwunga Village, Nama Sub-county, Mukono District, Kayongo Bonniface, Kisekka Hamuza, and others still at large, forcibly entered land comprised in block 167, plot 81 in Kyaggwe.
This land measures 311 acres and is registered in the name of Kiwanuka Stella as an administrator of the estate of the late Kiwanuka Joseph Musanze.
It is further alleged that the accused stole property including; four metallic water tanks, water pumping machines, and caused extensive damage to four houses.
That, they also uprooted and destroyed crops such as maize, cassava, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, banana plantations, and eucalyptus trees collectively valued at approximately Ugx 1 billion.
They have been remanded until 22/06/2026.
