KAMPALA —Airtel Uganda has once again altered its services—this time dropping its popular weekly SMS Bundles amid an online protest from some of its subscribers who use the services.
The frustrated subscribers say SMS bundle option was dropped completely from the menu without any notice from the operator.
“Kindly note that the 700 weekly and 4000 monthly SMS bundles were removed,” a customer service officer responded to an angry client on Twitter, but didn’t explain the reasons for the changes.
Earlier this month, Airtel Uganda also axed Tugabane data options on daily data bundles, Freaky Friday and Freaky Holiday bundles.
Hundreds of customers have flocked to complain, using the both Twitter and WhatsApp sites to make their views known on the changes.
Why did you have to remove weekly and monthly SMS..
Seriously why😭😭😭😭@Airtel_Ug please bring them back
