KAMPALA-Benedicto Kiwanuka Galiko, one of the Democratic Party (DP) members with a number of pending cases against the Party leadership, has expressed worry about a number of cases he filed in court before it’s too late.

He pointed out the prominent case of that , where he challenges the decision by the group Chaired by Hon. Nobert Mao to hold the National Delegates Conference without following the Party Constitution.

“Many of our cases are heard but never get disposed off. Mao and the group held an unlawful delegates conference in Mbarara without an appeal against the ruling of justice Philip Odoki, not even a court injunction.”

He therefore pointed out, that although Court of Appeal has not yet pronounced itself on the matter before it, that alone makes the current party leadership and their actions illegal.

“I have hope that the Deputy Chief Justice Dr. Flavian Zeija, any time from now will look into our issues and have these matters resolved in the shortest period possible.”

Galiko welcomed the decision Democratic Party, not to front any Presidential Candidate during in the forthcoming elections, because once it’s done, it would have been considered as an illegal act.
