Nakawa Chief Magistrate Esther Nyadoi has on Monday formally charged former Special Operations Unit Commander under Uganda Police , SSP Nixon Agasirwe with charges of murder.
Nixon who has spent a number of days under police detention, has been ordered not to plead against the charges because Magistrates Court lack jurisdiction to hear capital offences like murder.
Joseph Kyomuhendo , the state prosecutor handling this matter, has informed court that inquiring are still ongoing which prompted the Magistrate to adjourn the matter and remand Nixon to Luzira upper prison untill July 8th for mention.
Prosecution contends that Nickson Agasirwe with others at large with malice afore sought on March 30th murdered Joan Namazzi Kagezi in Kiwatule, Nakawa Division, Kampala District.
