Four Remanded Over Charges of Aggravated Trafficking

Kira, Wakiso– Kira Grade One Magistrate His Worship Seguya Ivan, has charged four individuals with Multiple counts of aggravated trafficking in persons.

Those who have been charged are Kobela Vivian, Nalubega Aminah, Namatovu Madinah, Lubango Martha, Naziwa Irene, and Oguti Juma. But among all the accused persons , Nalubega Aminah and Namatovu Madinah have not been present in court.

Court has read the charges against the four, to which they have pleaded not guilty and court has issued Summons against the two who have been absent in court.

According to Prosecution led by Cate Basuuta, Chief State Attorney, it alleges that between September 2025 and May 2026, in Mbalwa, Kira municipality- Wakiso District, the accused, acting as part of a syndicate, recruited, transported, harbored, and/or received multiple victims through fraud, deception, abuse of power, and vulnerability for purposes of sexual exploitation and harmful child labour.
