KAMPALA —The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has released the 2020 tentative timetable for the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams.
According to the timetable, UACE students will start their examinations on April 9 2020 to May 3.
The students will sit for their first paper, European History (P210/3), History World Affairs since 1939 (P210/2) or Mathematics
P425/1). In the afternoon, will sit for P210/1 History: National
Movements & the New States, P210/2 History: Economic and Social History of East Africa or
UACE exams will run till Monday May 3, with candidates expected to sit for P615/2 Study of a Living Person (Alt A) &
Imaginative Composition in colour (Alt B)
(Sketching session) and P615/2 Art :Imaginative Composition in
colour (Alt B) Test in the afternoon as their final papers.
The timetables were released by the Uneb executive secretary, Mr Dan Odongo and posted on the board’s website.
“The purpose of the examination is to assess the candidates’ level of achievement. It is not an end in itself but will help to place candidates in their career paths,” he wrote, urging candidates to approach the
examination without panic.
He said UNEB will arrange timetables for Examinations in P640/3 Foods and
Nutrition, P630/2 Clothing and Textiles, P330/1 Oral French, P340/4 German Orals and P620/1 Music
Practical which will be conducted by visiting examiners on dates prior to 9 April 9 2021.
Fine Art P615/1, 2 will be issued at 12.00 p.m on day of Examinations to allow for setting of
specimen. He also indicated that marks for continuous assessment in subjects where this is a requirement must be submitted to UNEB
through School portal by 12th February, 2021.
“Candidates’ attention is drawn to the “Directions to Candidates” and “Caution against
Malpractice in or around the Examination Room” at the end of this document.It is hereby assumed
that candidates and all concerned have read, understood and will abide by these regulations.The Chief Invigilator must begin the Morning session at 9.00 a.m. and the Afternoon
session at 2.00 p.m.Any deviation from the set time must be explained to the Board,”the guidelines appended to the timetables said.
Like usually, students have been directed to ease themselves before entering the examination room and no candidate will be allowed to leave the rooms before the end of the examination time.
“Be at the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the start of the examination ready to be identified and checked. Any candidate who comes more than 15 minutes late from the start of an examination will not be allowed to sit the examination”, the guidelines required.
