Kampala– The High Court Criminal Division has today sentenced notorious land grabber Charles Kyagaba to a total of eight years’ imprisonment on two counts of obtaining money by false pretences, with each count carrying a sentence of four years to be served consecutively.

Kyagaba was convicted for terrorizing residents of Wakiso district especially in Entebbe with other individuals still at large through fraudulently claiming ownership of their properties and selling them to unsuspecting victims.
Last week, Entebbe High Court convicted Kyagaba Charles, on several charges, including Malicious Damage to Property, Fraudulent Procurement of Land Titles, Criminal Trespass, Assault, and Forcible Entry, among others.
His conviction followed the Court findings that Prosecution evidence produced in Court proved beyond reasonable doubt that Kyagaba committed the offences against him.
He was was first arrested and arraigned before court by the Anti Corruption Unit of State House working together with Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and Criminal Investigation Division of Uganda Police in 2022.
