KAMPALA, Uganda — HiPipo has officially released its latest gospel project, Voices of Light – African Hymns Reimagined Vol. 1, debuting a short-form musical structure specifically designed to align with modern digital streaming habits and social media environments.
Released May 6, 2026, the album features tracks that largely range from one to two minutes in length. This intentional format marks a shift away from traditional long-form gospel records, aiming to integrate seamlessly into the daily routines of listeners through playlists and digital sharing.
The project is performed by the group Voices of Light and features Doreen Nanfuka, the Enlightened Academy Choir, and HiPipo Voices. The production blends African choral richness with cinematic orchestration, creating what producers describe as high-impact spiritual moments suited for rapid digital consumption and repeat listening.
HiPipo CEO Innocent Kawooya said the album’s structure is built for scale and impact in a fast-evolving global landscape.
We are not just releasing music. We are creating a daily experience for humanity, one that people can return to every morning, every evening, and in every moment they need light, Kawooya said.
The album follows a sequenced spiritual journey, opening with Matchless Love and All Glory, before moving into contemplative pieces like Evening Hymn and concluding with the high-energy All Hail Victory. It also includes bonus tracks such as Speak Life.
The production process combined human vocal performance and musical direction with AI-assisted tools to enhance sound design and arrangement depth. According to HiPipo, this forward-looking philosophy uses technology to amplify human creativity rather than replace it.
Now available on all major streaming platforms, the album is the first volume in a broader vision by HiPipo to build a global gospel and inspirational ecosystem. Based in Kampala, HiPipo is a multimedia organization focused on digital innovation and social inclusion.
