On Saturday, Herbert Kakama attached to Chief of Training and Recruitment, Mbuya, parked a Toyota Harrier in the middle of Kibuye Roundabout in Katwe Division, Kampala, blocking other motorists.
But when a traffic officer asked him to remove it, he allegedly refused and began hurling insults at the traffic police officer.
But the police officer, stood his ground, telling the soldier, who was dressed in plain clothes that it is illegal to park in the road.
Kakama instead drew a gun but the police officer attempted to grab it from him, leading to a scuffle that soon attracted the attention of other traffic officers.

He was charged with attempted murder.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman Patrick Onyango was not available for a comment on Sunday.
Incidents of soldiers assaulting police officers in the line of duty are on the rise.
In May, a military officer grabbed a traffic officer by his collar over traffic congestion at Mukwano Mall in Kampala.
In January this year, another traffic officer was shot in the leg by a UPDF soldier who found him towing to police a military vehicle that had been involved in a road crash.
The bullet damaged the artery in his leg prompting medical experts to amputate it.
In 2019, Major General Matayo Kyaligonza and his bodyguards assaulted Esther Namaganda when she stopped them from making a u-turn in the middle of the road in Seeta.
