KIU endorses Ph.D. scholarships for scientists and engineers

Kampala International University (KIU) the leading private in Uganda on December 6, 2021, advertised Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) scholarships under the KIU Staff Development Scheme 2021/2022.

“Applicants should be holders of Masters’ Degree, Bachelor’s Degree with either a 1st class or Second Class Upper in relevant areas from a recognized University. to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) under the Staff Development Scheme,” read the advert in part.

The scholarship scheme is readily available for scholars pursuing a doctorate in Biomedical Science programs in Microbiology, Physiology, Anatomy and Biochemistry, and also Engineering Science programs in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

The deadline for submission of applications is set for December 31, 2021. “The scholarships are highly competitive. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted,” read the notice.

Over the years, KIU has supported higher education learning by offering bursaries and scholarships to students. The international university has also reinforced science programs by offering a variety of programs in Health Sciences, Science and Technology, and Engineering in its various campuses.

Several achievements in research and science have earned the university first place as the leading private university in the country according to the 2021 Webometrics university rankings. The university emerged third best university in the country, as Makerere University and Mbarara University took first place and second place respectively.

Kampala International University (KIU) was founded in 2001 and is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the Association of Africa Universities as well as the Inter University-Council of East Africa.
