KAMPALA– Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) a body mandated to regulate the communications sector in the country, has with immediate effectsuspended Salt Television’s “Omusunsuzi” programme hosted by Jennifer Nakangubi aka Full Figure and Charles James Ssenkubuge.
“The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) informs the public that, following routine monitoring and numerous complaints received, it has determined that the program “Omusunsuzi,” aired on Salt Television, violates the Minimum Broadcasting Standards.” Reads part of the Public notice issued by UCC on Saturday 13th September 2025.
The commission has went ahead and pointed out, that this program, which airs on weekdays from 6:00 am to 8:00 am, contains abusive content, inappropriate language, and displays unprofessional conduct by the presenters. “These broadcasts occur during morning hours when children are likely to be watching, potentially exposing them to unsuitable material.”
Therefore, UCC has ordered Salt Television, to provide written responses to the complaints received, as well as to
Submit recordings of the program broadcast between August 1,
2025, and September 12, 2025.
“Salt TV must confirm compliance with this directive and submit the
requested materials to the UCC by Friday, September 19, 2025.” Commission further added
This has come at a few days after Full Figure, the show host has just been discharged from the hospital where she was admitted after being assaulted by people said to have been annoyed by her endless attacks on them.
The matter is currently still being investigated by Police.
