Maj. Gen. Felix Kulayigye is back as Director of Defence Public Information for Uganda's military after a brief leave, as confirmed by Col. Chris Magezi.
Maj. Gen. Felix Kulayigye is back as Director of Defence Public Information for Uganda’s military after a brief leave, as confirmed by Col. Chris Magezi.

KAMPALA, Uganda — Maj. Gen. Felix Kulayigye has resumed his duties as the substantive Director of Defence Public Information (DDPI) for the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) following a period of leave.

Col. Chris Magezi, who had been acting in the role, announced Kulayigye’s return in a statement.

“The substantive Director of Defence Public Information (DDPI) Major General Felix Kulayigye has resumed official duties after a short period away on leave,” Magezi stated in a release. “I have ceased to act accordingly. The general public and media stakeholders are hereby informed.”

Magezi serves as the Military Assistant to the Chief of Defence Forces. Kulayigye’s return signals the end of Magezi’s interim tenure in the public information office.
