MultiChoice Uganda Launches 7-Day Subscription Packages for DStv and GOtv Subscribers in “Ka Weekie” Campaign

MultiChoice Uganda Head of Marketing, Colin Asiimwe, announces the launch of the new 7-day “Ka Weekie” subscription packages during a press briefing in Kampala.

KAMPALA – MultiChoice Uganda announced the launch of its new 7-day subscription packages for DStv and GOtv subscribers. The ka Weekie campaign as it has been dubbed, is an exciting new initiative designed to provide more affordable, flexible payment options to customers who want to watch the best entertainment without committing to a full monthly plan.

Announcing the new packages, the MultiChoice Uganda Head of Marketing, Colin Asiimwe spoke stated “This new initiative reflects our understanding of how our customers’ lives are structured. It is also a reflection of a business attuned to its customer feedback. It is our hope that these new packages will bring in catalytic growth while delighting our customers into a whole new world of entertainment where they watch when they want”

DStv Uganda customers will now choose from a range of 7-day packages. These short-term options ensure that high-quality entertainment remains accessible to everyone, no matter their budget. The 4 available 7-day packages are:

DStv Compact – UGX 37,000 DStv Family – UGX 22,000

DStv Access – UGX 14,000 DStv Lumba – UGX 5,000

GOtv Uganda subscribers will also now choose from a variety of 7-day packages, starting as low as UGX 5,000 for GOtv Lite. The 6 available 7-day packages are:

GOtv Supa Plus – UGX 37,000

GOtv Supa – UGX 22,000 GOtv Max – UGX 17,000 GOtv Plus – UGX 11,000

GOtv Value – UGX 7,000 GOtv Lite – UGX 5,000

“The ka Weekie campaign which is similarly named across both brands is not just about prices of packages, it’s for when kids are on holiday or you are traveling to the village. It is for weekly and daily earners. It truly reflects the flexible nature of our customers’ lives and how they require responsive and customer-centric solutions”, Colin Asiimwe added.

The ka Weekie campaign is made even more exciting because it delivers the full breadth of the exciting content that customers have come to expect from the exciting channel on the respective platforms from sports and movies to series, news, and children’s programs.

Rinaldi Jamugisa, PR and Communications Manager at MultiChoice Uganda, highlighted the company’s focus on delivering flexibility and value to its customers. “With the ka Weekie campaign, we are offering DStv subscribers affordable, short-term subscription options. This is all about ensuring that entertainment remains accessible while allowing customers to manage their viewing needs in a budget-friendly way.”
