ARUA, UGANDA — Mungu Feni Foundation has launched the third cohort of its garment cutting and tailoring training program in Arua, aiming to equip vulnerable community members with essential vocational skills.
The foundation’s chief executive officer and founder, Bernard Feni, emphasized the critical need for skill development during the launch event.
“Skilling is essential for individual and community development,” Mr. Feni said.

The annual project is designed to provide orphans, teenage mothers and widows in Arua with skills intended to foster self-reliance, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods.
By focusing on vocational training, particularly in tailoring, the foundation seeks to contribute to Uganda’s national development efforts. These programs reduce unemployment, empower vulnerable populations and support economic growth and industrialization.

This year’s cohort includes 100 new participants from vulnerable communities, a group the foundation believes is embarking on a path toward improved dignity and a transformed future.
