Museveni meets IGAD Executive Secretary

ENTEBBE — President Yoweri Museveni has Tuesday received and met the Executive Secretary of Inter Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) H.E. Dr. Workneh Gebeheyu who paid a courtesy call on him at State House, Entebbe.

The envoy who was on a consultative visit was accompanied by Uganda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Sam Kutesa.

He conveyed greetings and felicitations from President Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia to President Museveni upon his victory in the recent polls.

“Your excellency I wish to convey to you greetings from President Abiy and his congratulations to you upon your re-election as President of Uganda, he said.

President Museveni and his guest also discussed matters of mutual interest between Uganda and Ethiopia as well as regional issues.
