KAMPALA — The husband to outgoing Kampala woman MP and former Lord Mayor contender, Nabillah Naggayi has called on the police to assist his hustle to retain their Buziga home from being annexed by his wife.
The house which remains under threat of being annexed by money lenders is located in the upscale Kampala suburb of Munyonyo in Makindye division.
Ssempala Isaac, a husband to the troubled all seasoned politician says he is suspicious of his wife as he senses that she may forcefully occupy the house. This follows last night’s episode when he and his relative were locked outside the gate of the house as Nabillah allegedly directed the gateman not to allow him inside the perimeter wall.
Isaac was compelled to call police in the dead of the night to come to his rescue. The police arrived and seized the house for the whole night and tried to communicate with the occupants to allow them to access the premises.
The same house which is triggering conflicts is being claimed by former Makerere University Vice Chancellor Prof. Venansius Baryamureeba who says he extended a UGX 800m loan to the Ssempala family.
In an attempt to save the house, Nabillah rushed to court to block her husband from taking over the property. She also rang Prof. Baryamureeba and reportedly settled part of the debt with UGX 40m to entice him into putting the matter out of the media.
