Coffee Table Book, the first of its kind in Uganda is showcasing the achievements and impact of powerful and influential women in Uganda.

The coffee table book was started in Kenya by Carolyne Mandi, the proprietor of drum and true love Magazine and she co-founded it with Imalda Mwamanga, a Tanzania business woman with an aim of how to build synergies among powerful women in Africa.

The book documented by a consortium of Pivoting in heels a digital Non-for-Profit dedicated to empower women will be officially unveiled Tuesday 17th next week at Le Chateau Quality Hill hotel in Kampala under the theme “Reimagining Connections: Navigating Change in a Digital World”, aims to highlight the power of women and their ability to drive real change for a better future.

The book features inspiring stories and profiles of both 60 corporate and rural powerful women in Uganda, emphasizing their resilience, ambition, and forward-thinking mindset.

Addressing journalists prior to the launch, Ms. Remmie Male, the Country Director of Pivoting in Heels has emphasized the importance of celebrating the remarkable achievements of influential female African leaders across all sectors be it business, framing among others.

She also acknowledged the support of Janet Kataaha Museveni, the First Lady of the Republic of Uganda, for her office approving and gracefully receiving their request for her to write the foreword page.

“We are truly excited about her approving to contribute to the foreword to the Coffee Table Book.’’ She added.

The concept of this book is that each country, get the woman who is running the statehouse, if it is the president of that country we go with the president woman, if the president is a man, we go with first lady to write the forward page. She spoke. We have reached out to write for us her forward here, we have also approached the vice president Jesicca Alupo to write the exordium (the beginning or introduction), we have also reached out to Nabagereka Foundation to give us endorsement.

According to her The Coffee Table Book is a game changer, transformative and empowering tool that celebrates the power and impact of female leaders, both in Uganda and across Africa.

She also noted that the book is having a special section that highlights the journey and contribution of the influential women in Stanbic bank behind the Stanbic for her project.

Investment Authority, will deliver the keynote speech at the inaugural Coffee Table Book Launch.

“Her expertise and experience will provide valuable insights into the challenges faced by women in leadership and offer strategies for navigating change in a digital era’’. Ms. Remmie noted

The book offers an opportunity for women from diverse backgrounds to connect, share experiences, and forge lasting partnerships.

This event will bring together over 150 delegates from Uganda and across Africa to celebrate the contributions of female African leaders and their community impact. Ms Remmie added. She said that the book will cost USD 30 which is equivalent to 110,000 Uganda shillings only
