PICTORIAL: Kabaka graces Christmas Carols at Bulange

Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi of Buganda has Friday evening hosted guests during a Christmas Carols event at the Kingdom’s administration offices, Bulange, Mengo.

The Catholic Church spearheaded the Christmas Carols event where several church choirs under Kampala Catholic Archdiocese took to the stage and entertained the Kabaka with Christmas Songs ahead of Christmas next week.

Employees from Buganda Kingdom institutions including Buganda Land Board, Nnabageraka Development Foundation, Buganda Royal Institute, CBS FM, Muteesa 1 Royal University among others also entertained the Kabaka who was in company of Nnabagereka, Sylvia Nagginda.

In his opening prayer, Archbishop of Kampala Archbishop Paul Ssemogerere prayed for the Kingdom, Kabaka Mutebi’s life and peace throughout the Christmas season.

In a veiled jib, Archbishop Ssemogerere hit out at Ugandan authorities— warning against inviting the military into managing elections—saying the practice has created tensions that can be avoided.

Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga thanked the Kabaka for guiding the kingdom despite difficult times.

Kabaka Mutebi handed over brand new cars to all county heads to support Kingdom activities.

Kabaka Mutebi also retired and awarded for longserving  royal servers including Mr. Joash Kasirye, Mr. Erick Naggenda, Mr. Gerald Kaggwa and Mr. Joseph Kiiza who also served Kabaka Mutebi’s father, Ssekabaka Muteesa II.

He thanked theme for serving the kingdom with dedication.
