KAMPALA, Uganda — PostBank Uganda announced Monday the appointment of Martin Mugisha as its new Executive Director of Operations, increasing the number of executive directors on its board due to recent growth.
Mugisha, formerly the bank’s chief credit officer, brings more than two decades of banking experience from both local and regional institutions in Uganda to the role.
“Martin’s leadership and proven track record in risk management will go a long way to elevate the bank as we navigate evolving market dynamics and pursue sustainable success,” said Andrew Owiny, chairman of PostBank’s board.
CEO Julius Kakeeto added that Mugisha’s “extensive experience in business origination and risk management positions him to steer critical areas of the bank as we accelerate PostBank’s growth ambitions and its purpose of fostering prosperity.”
