KAMPALA, Uganda — Rajiv Ruparelia, son of a prominent Ugandan family, who died in a car accident early Saturday along the Busabala highway, will be cremated Tuesday, his family said.
In a statement released Sunday, the family announced the cremation will take place at 2:30 p.m. at the Hindu crematorium in Lugogo.

“It is with a deep and heavy heart that we announce the passing of our son Rajiv Ruparelia early this morning,” the statement read.
The family requested privacy as they mourn.
A vigil is being held at the Ruparelia family residence in Kololo until the cremation.
