KAMPALA — Officials from the Uganda National Examinations Board are scheduled to meet with Education Minister Janet Museveni on Wednesday at State House Nakasero to provide a formal briefing on the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education exam results.
The board chairperson, Prof. Celestino Obua, and executive director, Dan Odongo, will lead the UNEB delegation. State Minister for Higher Education John Chrysostom Muyingo is also expected to attend the briefing.
Following the high-level meeting, officials will determine the official date for the public release of the results, which is expected later this week.
A record 166,464 students are awaiting the results, which are expected to be officially released to the public following the State House meeting.
The UACE results represent the third and final set of national examinations to be released for the 2025 academic cycle, following the earlier publication of Primary Leaving Examination and Uganda Certificate of Education results.
According to registration data from UNEB, 166,464 candidates registered for the UACE exams in 2025. This figure reflects a 14.7% increase from the 141,996 candidates who registered the previous year, marking the highest growth rate among the three national examination levels.
Of the registered UACE candidates, approximately 93,603 are male and 72,861 are female.
