UNEB to release 2020 UCE results on Friday

KAMPALA — Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) and Ministry of Education and Sports will release the 2020 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) on Friday July 30, 2021, officials have said.

The results will be released by Education Minister and Sports Janet Museveni at scientific event  in observance of the COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS).

This website understands that UNEB officials will on Wednesday, July 28, brief Minister Janet Museveni and other ministry officials on the students’ perfomance.

Mr. Patrick Muinda, the ministry  of education spokesperson said the venue for the official release of the UCE results is yet to be confirmed.

According to UNEB, more than 330,000 students sat for their senior four UCE exams last year

This will be the second set of 2020 national examination results released by the national examinations body.


A total of 333,889 candidates registered for 2020 UCE from 3,935 examination centres. Out of these 49.8 per cent were male and 50.1 per cent were female.

At total of 148,135 of the candidates are under the Universal Secondary Education (USE) while 185,754 candidates are Non-USE.
