Kampala – The State Houses Anti Corruption Unit working with Criminal Investigations Division (CID) and Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) , have arraigned notorious fraudster, Ssekidde Lubowa Godfrey who has also been impersonating as Maj Gen Sam Kiwanuka on charges of; Obtaining Money by False Pretence, Forgery and Personation.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges and he was remanded to Luzira Prison until 21 January 2026.
The accused allegedly obtained over USD 197,570 from an investor by falsely pretending that it was required as fees for awarding him a contract for the supply of hand hoes and mosquito nets to the the Government of Uganda.
Investigations further revealed that Ssekidde has defrauded several other investors of billions of shillings while also impersonating as a Maj Gen attached to Office of the President.
