KAMPALA, Uganda — The Victoria Crocs will aim for a season sweep against the JT Jaguars when the two teams meet in Thursday’s National Basketball League men’s fixture at Lugogo.
Roger Sserunyigo’s Crocs narrowly defeated the Jaguars 64-57 in their first-round matchup. Victoria hopes to rebound from a three-game losing streak that saw them fall to JKL Dolphins, KCCA Panthers and UCU Canons.
Despite the recent setbacks, the Crocs, currently sixth in the standings with an 8-8 record, remain in contention for a playoff spot in their return to the top flight. To end their winless run, the Crocs will look for strong performances from Daniel Gaaki, Cedric Alema and Chuol Nyot.
The JT Jaguars will counter with experienced forwards Peter Sifuma and Fadhil Chuma, who are expected to dominate the paint. Ian Lubwama and Kevin Moru will lead the backcourt for the Jaguars.
