KAMPALA, Uganda — Ugandans have until today, May 15, to verify their voter registration details as the Electoral Commission (EC) concludes its nationwide display of the National Voters Register.
With the deadline looming, the EC is urging all eligible voters to take advantage of this final opportunity to confirm their registration information before the 2026 General Elections.
“This is a critical moment. We urge all citizens to confirm their names, photographs, and personal information at their display centers or through our online platform at ec.or.ug/register,” the Commission said in a statement.
The display exercise, which also includes Special Interest Groups (SIGs) Registers, is designed to ensure transparency, accuracy, and inclusivity in the final voter roll.
The EC emphasized that the verification process is essential for preventing voter fraud and ensuring all eligible Ugandans can cast their ballots in 2026.
The Commission warned that failure to verify voter details could lead to ineligibility to vote, a risk citizens should avoid with just over a year remaining before the elections.
Ugandans are encouraged to act immediately, either by visiting their designated display centers or checking their status online, before the exercise concludes today.
