How to Check PLE Results 2024 on Phone, Online

Learn how to check the 2024 PLE results on your phone and online, as Uganda National Examinations Board

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) will officially release the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results on Thursday, January 23, 2025. Candidates, parents, and schools can access the results through various platforms.

To check the results via SMS, follow these steps:

UNEB has released the 2025 national exam timetables for PLE, UCE, and UACE. Exams begin Oct. 13 with UCE. Candidate numbers rise by 7.5% to 1.4 million

  1. Type PLE, leaving a space, followed by your full index number.
  2. Send the message to 6600 on all mobile telecom networks.

For example, to check the results for a candidate with the index number 003301/368, type “PLE 003301/368” and send to 6600.

In addition to the SMS service, the results will also be available online. However, the UNEB website link is currently unavailable.

The results will be streamed live on UNEB and Ministry of Education and Sports social media platforms starting at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Schools will also be able to access the results through their portals, while printed copies will be collected by District/City/Municipal Inspectors of Schools.

According to UNEB, the overall performance of candidates in 2024 has improved compared to the previous year. The results reflect the hard work and dedication of students, teachers, and parents.

A total of 798,771 candidates registered for the 2024 PLE, representing a 6.6% increase from the 749,254 candidates who sat for the exam in 2023.
