Consolate Namyalo Kateregga, head of Pride Bank’s Credit Unit, said the distinction underscores the bank’s leadership in delivering “innovative, targeted credit solutions that drive agricultural transformation and small business resilience across Uganda.”

“Pride is proud to be a financial partner in national development,” Kateregga added.

The Agricultural Credit Facility Award honors institutions demonstrating excellence in tailored credit solutions for Uganda’s agricultural sector. Pride Bank was recognized for innovative lending practices that have empowered farmers to adopt modern techniques and secure improved yields, thereby strengthening rural livelihoods.

Similarly, the Small Business Fund Award acknowledges organizations providing robust recovery and growth facilities for small businesses. By offering flexible financing and personalized advisory services, Pride Bank has played a pivotal role in helping small enterprises overcome challenges and thrive in an evolving market.

The central bank further cited Pride Bank Limited for its timely and full loan repayments under the Small Business Recovery Fund, its outstanding performance in loan submissions, the value disbursed and its outreach to underserved regions. The bank was also commended for its meaningful partnerships supporting Uganda’s agriculture and small and medium-sized enterprise recovery.

Pride Bank Limited stated it continues to drive sustainable growth by investing in digital solutions and agile credit products designed to meet the evolving needs of its diverse clientele, from rural farmers to urban entrepreneurs. The bank noted its performance reinforces its leadership in financial services and solidifies its position as a catalyst for economic prosperity, delivering inclusive solutions that benefit communities throughout Uganda.
