
KAMPALA, Uganda — Marvin Beine “Boyo” Bitature, 35, a nephew of Ugandan tycoon Patrick Bitature, proprietor of Simba Group of Companies, died Thursday, July 10, 2025.
The cause of death was not publicly disclosed by the family.
Bitature was born on Sept. 7, 1989. He was engaged in private business and was described by the family as a quiet but enterprising individual.
A vigil Mass was held Thursday evening at the family’s Kololo residence at Plot 9, Malcolm X Road. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, July 11, at St. Charles Lwanga Church in Ntinda. The burial ceremony will take place at noon Saturday, July 12, at the Bitature family home in Ibanda District.
Messages of condolence and support have been shared by friends, relatives, and the wider public. Senior Presidential Advisor Col. Edith Nakalema expressed her sadness following Bitature’s passing, extending deep condolences to Patrick and Carol Bitature, who are recognized for their significant contributions to Uganda’s development.
Nakalema prayed for strength for Bitature’s family and friends during this time.
