The appointment of Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba as CDF and Balaam as Minister marks the political burial of the Patriotic League of Uganda(PLU).
Gen Museveni has deliberately killed the young pressure group.
The appointment of some PLU officials into Cabinet was out of a protracted negotiation between Gen Museveni and Gen Muhoozi.
Some key educated members of PLU will be appointed as RDCs while others will be deployed in different Government institutions.
The scammers will remain running around in PLU but the truth is PLU has been sent into a political Limbo and it may never resurrect.
Gen Muhozi will never appear at a political rally organized by PLU/NRM Mobilisers/self-seekers. Balaam who has been the architect of PLU field-based activities will have to concentrate on cabinet duties.
