MUBENDE, Uganda — Popular Ugandan musician Bebe Cool has fulfilled a heartfelt promise by officially handing over a newly constructed home to four-year-old TikTok sensation Bridgette and her family. The emotional handover ceremony took place in Mubende District on Friday.
The pledge to build the house originated five months prior during Bebe Cool’s annual “Tondeka E’Kiwatule” concert on Boxing Day 2024. The concert, themed “Tondeka E’Kiwatule Tuzimbire Bridget Enyumba” (Let’s put aside for Kiwatule, let’s build Bridget a house), was inspired by Bridgette’s online popularity and the difficult living conditions faced by her family.
Bebe Cool announced the completion and handover on his official X account, stating, “Bridgette gets a new home. With the help of Allah, friends, and good-hearted people, I’ve handed my young friend, a talented young TikTok star, and her family the house I promised them in Mubende.”
Reflecting on the occasion, the singer expressed his joy and gratitude. He also acknowledged the collaborative effort behind the project, thanking fans who attended the charity concert and corporate partners including Century Property Real Estates Uganda Limited, Erianah Hardware in Mubende, DT Solar, and Goldvie, as well as his Gagamel family.
“Thank you to everyone who contributed to this initiative; together we’ve not only given Bridgette shelter but have changed her life wholesomely,” Bebe Cool said. He emphasized the significance of community support, noting that even small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact.
Bridgette has gained considerable popularity on TikTok for her energetic dance performances and engaging personality. Her online fame brought both admiration and concern for her family’s circumstances, prompting Bebe Cool’s intervention.
