KAMPALA– Bishop Joshua Lwere, the general over seer of the National fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches of Uganda, has urged Judicial officers utilize their God given authority to deliver Justice to all groups of people regardless of their background or financial status.

In his preaching, during the 4th Judiciary Prayer Breakfast held in Kampala on Friday, Lwere noted that Judicial officers (Justices, Judges, Registrars and Magistrates) who favor criminals because of bribes, they share the same punishment with them before God.
“When you take bribe and pervert justice, you become an accomplice in that crime. The Judicial officer involved in assisting a criminal to escape earthly punishment, shares the same guilt as the perpetrator and before God you will the same punishment.”
He also emphasized that, the punishment is spread equally to all those that facilitate the corrupt process. (Court clerks, drivers, process servers, transcribers, Secretaries)
“The wrath of God (judgement) may come in short, midterm or longer term, but it must come. God’s justice demands that those who have been given great privileges they have more responsibilities.
The higher you rise, the greater the responsibilities.”
To avoid spiritual death and suffering which may be extended to their grand and great grand children for their wrong deeds, Lwere asked the Judicial officers to deliver fair and timely justice to God’s people.
Jane Okuo Kajuga, the Acting Principal Judge, on representing the Chief Justice at this event, commended Christian Judicial officers for their persistent love to God which gave birth to this quarterly prayer breakfast.
“Judicial accountability is not just to the institutions that check us , the public that we serve but also to the most high God that we serve. Leadership of Judiciary is committed to ensure that justice is delivered to the people, the innovations, plans provided to us by the Hon Chief Justice and top management are all intended to delivered on the mandate the Lord has offered us.”
She further emphasized it that they organize these prayers breakfast meetings to come closer to God because as humans at time they go out of God’s glory in the course of their duties.
Judiciary Christian fellowship was founded in 2021, the first fellowship was held on 29th April the same year.
