DPP recalls file in fradulent case against City lawyer

Buganda Road grade one Magistrate Fidelis Otwao has set the 16th August 2023 as the date at which he will commence with hearing of the fradulent case against city lawyer Kintu Felix Nteza.

The matter had came up for hearing today with three prosecution witnesses in court ready to testify, however this was not possible after state prosecutor Shifrah Nidoi informmed court that the Police file is before the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for some for review.

“We are unable to proceed because we currently don’t have the Police file for this matter, we seek for an adjournment ..” asked Nidoi

The Defense counsel didn’t object to the adjournment and promised to come in the next hearing with an update on their application before High court civil Division.

Aida Nakachwa one of the Directors for the Complainant Company (Interlink) from Botswana was present in court and vowed to follow the matter to its logical conclusion.

Prosecution Contends that Kintu Felix Kintu Nteza , between the 27th August 2013 to 5th August 2014 at E- Towers Kampala with intent to defraud , he obtained money to wit Ugandan shillings 195,000,000/=( One hundred ninety five million shillings) from Interlink Education Services Limited by falsely pretending that the Administrators of the late George Kamya and beneficiaries of the said to wit land comprised in Busiro Block 220 Plot 64 Land at Gimbo Wakiso District were selling to Interlink Education Services Limited.
