KAMPALA, Uganda — Uganda’s Electoral Commission is urging citizens to verify their voter registration details before the display period ends May 15.
The commission has set up displays of the National Voters Register at polling stations nationwide, running daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., including weekends.1 This exercise, mandated by Section 26 of the Electoral Commission Act, allows voters to confirm their information ahead of the 2025-2026 general elections.

Display officers are available at each polling station to assist with verification. Voters are advised to check the accuracy of their names, ensure they are registered in the correct parish, and report any deceased or underage individuals listed on the register.
“This process ensures that the Voters Register is accurate and credible ahead of the elections,” a commission official said. “Your participation now is just as important as your vote on polling day.”
Voters can also check their registration details online at ec.or.ug/register.
The Electoral Commission emphasizes the importance of timely verification, reminding citizens that the display period concludes May 15.2
