H.E . Ambassador Etsegenet Bezabih has commended the U18 Ethiopian Women Football Players for their incredible performance in the CECAFA under 18 women Championship that were held in Jinja City.

At the dinner organized at her residence in Kololo (Kampala) over the weekend, Ambassador Etsegenet , applauded the players for having exhibited professionalism in the game to the extent of making it to the finals.
She thus pointed out that the dinner was organized to appreciate players and other members of the technical committee staff for having kept the Ethiopian flag high through out the whole tournament.
“The Ethiopian Embassy in Kampala has followed their participation in the tournament, which was right here in Uganda, including presence and cheering the team at the Final game in Jinga at the Stadium of Uganda Federation of Football Technical Center.” remarked Etsegenet
She further encouraged them never to lose hope , but should always aim higher.
Mr.Birhanu Gizaw, the head coach of the Ethiopian team commended Ugandans for their tremendous support towards Women’s football. ” The whole Ugandan experience was very good and Kampala is avery beautiful city with very welcoming people.”
Birnhanu based their good performance on their dedicated young stars who scrificed their everything to ensure that their team makes it to the top.
On Thursday last week , Ethiopian U-18 women National Team was defeated by Tanzanian team 2-0 in the game which was held at Azam Complex.
