The countdown to the FIFA World Cup 2026™ is officially underway, with the first phase of ticket sales set to begin next week through the Visa Presale Draw.
From 10 to 19 September, eligible Visa cardholders can register at FIFA.com/tickets using a FIFA ID for a chance to secure tickets in the opening sales phase. Successful applicants, selected through a randomised draw, will be notified from 29 September and assigned purchase time slots beginning 1 October.
Fans will have access to a wide range of options, including single-match tickets to all 104 games, venue-specific and team-specific packages. Prices start at USD 60 for group-stage matches and peak at USD 6,730 for premium seats at the final.
“With just ten months to go until the FIFA World Cup 26 kicks off, we are excited to launch the first phase of ticket sales,” said FIFA World Cup 2026 COO Heimo Schirgi. “This marks a momentous milestone as we build up to this historic event.”
Visa, FIFA’s exclusive payment provider for this phase, guarantees a secure and seamless checkout process. “The countdown starts now, and lucky Visa cardholders get the first shot,” said Frank Cooper III, Visa’s Chief Marketing Officer.
Ticket sales will unfold in multiple phases due to expected high demand:
• Phase 1 (Visa Presale Draw): 10–19 September 2025
• Phase 2 (Early Ticket Draw): 27–31 October 2025, with sales slots in November–December
• Phase 3 (Random Selection Draw): Post-final draw, when group-stage matchups are confirmed
Closer to the tournament, any remaining tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional options such as supporter tickets, conditional tickets, and hospitality packages will also be introduced.
To ensure authenticity and protect fans, FIFA will launch an official resale platform later this year. Tickets purchased through unofficial channels may not be valid.
The FIFA World Cup 2026™ kicks off in June 2026 across North America, marking the largest tournament in history with 48 teams and 104 matches.
