KAMPALA – We bring you the ranking of top 45 schools in the 2022 Primary Leaving Examinations result, released by the Minister of Education in Kampala last week.
This second batch of ranking is based primarily on schools primarily on the percentage of candidates scoring 5 aggregates in 4.
Based on this criteria, these are the top 45 schools with 5 aggregates in 4 in Uganda, in order of rank:
Hormisdallen Primary School (Kira),
Hormisdallen Primary School (Gayaza), Mother Manjeri Primary School (Kampala) Hormisdallen mixed day and boarding (Kampala and Namugongo Girls Primary School (Kira).
Others are Leo’s Junior Academy (Masaka City), Little Muheji Primary School (Nansana), Hormisdallen Day School (Kampala), Victorious Primary School (Mukono Main) and Kampala Parents School (Kampala).
In 2017, The Observer newspaper reported that some schools achieve high pass rates by preventing “weak” candidates from registering for exams, or by registering them from alternative centres.
The paper discovered this is especially the case with private schools that have multiple examination centres.
In this case, you will find one school centre performing well while the associated centre doesn’t perform that well. This ranking does not consider this and other dubious tricks played by certain schools.
