Kampala -The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Elections Disputes Tribunal which was put in place in July 2025, by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to handle complaints resulting from the Party Primaries has issued an update on their progress.

“Since hearings commenced on 29th July 2025, the Tribunal has concluded and delivered written, reasoned rulings in a total of 813 petitions, comprising 431 Parliamentary petitions, 193 Local Council V petitions, and 189 Local Council I petitions.” Revealed Mr. John Muslime, Chairperson NRM Election disputes tribunal 2025
Musiime also noted, that currently, they handling 14 petitions arising from the elections for the Central Executive Committee (CEC) and the National Executive Council (NEC).
“This represents the final phase of its assignment. The Tribunal acknowledges the commitment of its members, the Registry, and support staff whose dedicated work has enabled this progress.”
He further promised, that they remain committed to concluding the remaining 14 petitions expeditiously and to fulfilling their mandate in accordance with the NRM Election Regulations.
