
KAMPALA, Uganda — The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) announced a 11-hour water supply interruption for parts of Kampala on Wednesday, Sept. 3, as it conducts system upgrades and routine maintenance.
The outage is scheduled to last from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ggaba waterworks.
The disruption will affect residents in various areas, including parts of Lukuli, Salaama Road, Namasuba, Ndejje, Busabala, Lubowa, Seguku, Katale, Nalumunye, Bandwe, Bunamwaya, Kigo, Kyengera, Nabbingo, parts of Masaka Road, Najjanankumbi and the Freedom City area.
Water supply will also be cut off in Ntinda, Kiwatule, Kulambiro, Kisaasi, Komamboga, Bukoto, Naalya, Kawanda, Luteete, Masooli, Kyambogo, Kitagobwa, Kiti, Kabaga, Gyokolera, Katadde, Nabusugwe, Bulindo, Mayangwa, Kungu and Kira, as well as parts of Gayaza Road.
The corporation is advising customers to store enough water and use it sparingly.
