With a strong academic foundation, including a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Makerere University and two Postgraduate degrees and a Master’s degree from Uganda Management Institute (UMI), Mivule has established himself as a thought leader in economic development and regional integration.
As a seasoned researcher, Mivule has conducted numerous studies and published papers on economic issues, demonstrating his commitment to advancing knowledge and driving change. His teaching experience at various higher institutions of learning has equipped him with exceptional communication skills, allowing him to distill complex economic concepts into actionable insights for students and professionals alike.
Mivule’s leadership experience is equally impressive, having served as President of the Uganda Management Institute Alumni Association for seven years (2015-2022). During his tenure, he demonstrated exceptional vision, strategic thinking, and collaboration, guiding the association towards achieving its goals and objectives. He also served as a member of the UMI Governing Council, where he played a key role in shaping the institution’s programs and quality assurance initiatives.
As a passionate advocate for regional integration, Mivule contested for a seat in the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) in 2022, demonstrating his commitment to promoting economic cooperation and development in the region. Currently, he is spearheading the formation of the UMI Alumni SACCO, aimed at empowering alumni to achieve their financial goals.
