“I’ve seen others win in different campaigns, but I never believed it was real. Today, I see it’s true, and it couldn’t have come at a better time as I was struggling to pay my child’s school fees. Stanbic has truly answered my prayer,” she said.

The campaign, which launched in June, will run until the end of December.

Sarah Nankumba, the Acacia branch manager, stated the campaign aligns with the bank’s core purpose: “Uganda is our home, and our growth is driven by supporting our people.” She confirmed that the bank has already awarded nearly UGX 25 million and continues to reward clients who deposit and actively use their accounts.

Nankumba encouraged Ugandans to participate by regularly transacting on Stanbic Bank’s various platforms. She also emphasized the simplicity of opening an account, which can be done entirely digitally without a branch visit. Prospective customers can download the bank’s mobile app, scan a QR code on their website, or dial *290# to open a free account with minimal paperwork and activation in under five minutes using only a National Identity Card.

Israel Arinaitwe, Head of Personal Banking, said the “Kya Double with Supa Dupa” campaign was developed based on extensive customer feedback. He highlighted a demand for quick, simple, and rewarding banking services for regular depositors.

Arinaitwe added that the campaign eliminates traditional barriers like queues and paperwork by offering a fully digital, paperless, and free account opening process. Customers can open an account via the Stanbic app, mobile banking, or online platforms, then instantly deposit, send, or receive funds.

He also announced enhanced credit offerings, including instant loans of up to UGX 5 million, available anytime. Subject to eligibility, digital loans of up to UGX 250 million can be approved within two minutes.
