The Uganda Police Force has announced a recruitment drive for Police Constables, with 434 positions available across various departments.

To be eligible for the positions, applicants must meet certain requirements, including being a Ugandan citizen with a valid National ID, having no criminal record, possessing a UCE certificate or its equivalent, and being physically and medically fit. Applicants must also be ready to undergo 12 months of police training.

The recruitment drive is open to both male and female candidates, with age limits ranging from 18-40 years old, depending on the position applied for. Female candidates are particularly encouraged to apply.

The application process involves submitting hand-written applications addressed to the Inspector General of Police, accompanied by a photocopy of the Uganda National ID, academic certificates, and four recent passport-size photographs. Applications must be delivered to the respective district headquarters or regional police headquarters from June 25 to July 4, 2025.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews, which will include aptitude tests, physical fitness assessments, and medical examinations. Successful candidates will undergo a 3-month initial training at the Police Training School before being deployed to their respective stations.

The Uganda Police Force is urging all eligible citizens to apply for the available positions and join the force in maintaining law and order in the country. For more information, interested applicants can contact the Uganda Police Force headquarters or visit their website.
