
LUWEERO, Uganda — The Uganda People’s Defence Forces and the country’s security establishment are mourning the death of Brig. Gen. Tom Kikoyo Kabuye, who was found dead Sunday at his home in Kikuyusa Town Council.
Kabuye, the assistant chief of defense intelligence, died at his residence in Luweero District. The circumstances of his death are unclear, according to a statement from his family. An official statement from the UPDF is expected to provide more details.
Kabuye’s death has sent shockwaves through the military and his home district of Luweero. He was widely respected by colleagues and hailed by locals as a “great son” and a decorated officer who served Uganda with distinction.
A respected officer known for his strategic acumen, Kabuye had a long and distinguished career in the UPDF, rising through the ranks to serve in several key intelligence roles. He was also actively involved in community development initiatives in Luweero.
