Being not contented with several factors surrounding his trial, the City lawyers through his lawyers, petitioned High Court seeking to stay the proceedings before Buganda Road Grade one Magistrate Fedelis Otwao

In August 2023, at the commencement of his trial , he asked Buganda Road Court to stay his trial awaiting the decision of High court but this didn’t succed due to a number of reasons including inconveniencing the main witness who had travelled from outside the country for almost a year with commencing with the hearing of her case.
