Mityana Municipality MP has been admitted at Lubaga Hospital after he was handed over to his family but in dilapidated state.
“Finally after ten days of trying in vain to see my friend and brother, Hon. Zaake, I’ve been able to see him at Rubaga Hospital, where he was rushed upon release on police bond,” his friend and Kyadondo East MP Bobi Wine said.
Bobi Wine said the youthful legislator Zaake is still in too much pain, but at least out of their evil hands.
“The Museveni regime can go ahead and rejoice in our pain, but they will never have the last laugh. The People of Uganda will eventually win,” he added.
Earlier, the European Union firmly opposed torture other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment against MP Zaake.
“We are very concerned about reports of Human Rights violations of people arrested during COVID19 lockdown, including MP Zaake and Rukirabashaija,” the EU said.
“Due process must be followed & rights upheld even during lockdown”
