Well as Ssalongo Lutakome Ronald ,bean and banana farmer and Mark Ddumba a coffee farmer from Bukomero, Kisoga district informed journalists that they have greatly benefited from government’s Parish Development Model (PDM) program.

“By the time we received the PDM funds we were more than ready because we had received enough sensitization from SASAKAWA Africa Association. On top of that it helped to acquire quality seeds and farm in puts which saved us money by doing away with fake products on the market.” Remarked Lutakome

He also added  that they were also sensitized about Agro ecology farming practices which also saved from wasting a lot of money which would have been used in buying fertilizers.

The team also paid a visit to one of the trusted Agro suppliers in the area.

The farmers also led a group of journalists and officials from SASAKAWA to a guided tour to their gardens showcasing what they have been able to achieve from the said programs.
