KANYANYA – On Wednesday, Kawempe Chief Magistrates Court remanded National Unity Platform (NUP) Deputy Spokesperson Waiswa Mufumbiro and Foot soldier Saudah Madada to Luzira Prison.

Mufumbiro who was arrested outside court premises on Monday, with Madada who was arrested on Tuesday at Busia Border, were charged with unlawful drilling (conducting military like exercises without authorization) and conspiracy to commit a felony.
On appearing before Grade one Magistrate Damalie Agumaasiimwe, the duo denied the charges against them.
These were added to a file of six other individuals including Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi wine’s Private Guards, Eddie Ssebuufu aka Eddie Mutwe, Achileo Kivumbi and Tasi Calvin aka Bobi Giant.
Since Investigations in the matter are still underway, they were remanded to Prison until 29th September 2025.
Prosecutors contends , that on February 12, 2025, at the NUP offices in Makerere-Kavule, Wandegeya, Kawempe Division, the seven accused and others still at large gathered without ministerial permission and engaged in military-style training.
The prosecution further contends that the accused conspired with others to commit a felony, in violation of Sections 45(1)(b) and 363 of the Penal Code Act, which prohibit unlawful drilling and conspiracy to commit felonies.
